The first day of ministry was full of different healings from backs, to cysts dissolving, ear pain, and leg injuries. It all reflects the love God has for us, and the His willingness to confirm his word with signs following.
As we prayed early in the day, we got a guy named Marcio who had lost about 50% of his hearing about 15 years ago. He also had some back and shoulder pain that gave him a lot of discomfort. The back and shoulder pain left as we prayed a few times, and he received all of his hearing back in his left ear after a few times of praying and commanding his ears to be opened. I touched his ears and moved my fingers away. He said that's when he felt and experienced the change in his hearing and said he could hear 100% out of that ear. The Lord is good.
A bit of an unexpected healing was Jorgery's eyesight (I'm probably misspelling the name). He had pain in his calf, back, and could see 60% out of his left. The Lord touched his back before we could seemingly pray for him. We prayed twice for the pain he experienced in his calf from working on his farm. After I prayed for the leg, I was about to let him go feeling that God had done all we asked, when my translator and partner said I forgot to pray for his eyes. I started to reach up towards his face to lay hands on him when he told me that God gave him full range of motion in his eyes. He couldn't see me before out of his peripheral vision, but God restored it without me ever mentioning it.
Then there was little David. He had a kind of eye disease that if it got worse he'd go blind. He is about 11 years old and developed a disease around the age of 8 which had already started taking his vision. We checked to see how much he could see at the beginning. My partner started praying and things were moving in the right direction. I felt that we needed to explore what happened around age 8 in his life, so I looked at his mother and asked her. She told us that when he was 8, she and his father divorced, he lost a close cousin due to suicide, and another family member died as well. We covered this trauma related stuff in prayer, and his vision kept improving drastically to where neither one of us could read the smallest font on a card we had him read to test his vision. He started off not being able to see some of the largest fonts to reading some of the smallest fonts. It was a drastic change and he said he felt good. A burden had been lifted.
God is faithful.
